The Archive isn't just an e-commerce site for vintage clothing, but a project dedicated to the recovery of timeless pieces. Our mission is the rigorous search for unique pieces, destined for a discerning clientele who can discern the value of a fine piece.
The Charm of "Discovery"
There is a magical moment: the one when, inside now-forgotten warehouses, we open boxes and packages sealed for decades.
Inside them we don't find simple clothes, but pieces of history that are almost always intact.
Each item in L'Archivio is a Deadstock : garments produced in the 90s and 2000s, never worn, which still have the original tag from the time.
The Legacy of Made in Italy
Our focus is on great Italian manufacturing from the end of the century.
Because these brands represent an era when Italy didn't follow trends: it created them. A '90s coat or jacket isn't comparable to today's mass-produced pieces.
They are the result of an excellent supply chain that used high-quality wools (from Biella, etc.), high-quality viscose linings, and tailored cuts designed to last for decades.
